I had a look and it looks really good, do you have it inside or outside the caravan? I think the best place for a tracker is on the roof as its the last place anybody would look and you get the best signal?
It's a totally selfcontained unit that can be hidden anywhere in the van, mine works connected to gsm ,phone signal, they do gps versions which don't have to see the sky, but basically you get the unit, stick it to the van somewhere discreet,ie behind a screwed down panel and leave it, try www.mtrackonline.co.uk or call. It makes my blood boil when i hear of thieving b at stards stealing caravans. We had our van stolen earlier this year from the back of our house, probably by some elements of the community mentioned in previous messages related to this topic!
We had it parked overnight attached to our car with a hitchlock, caravan loaded up ready to go for the first trip of the season, woke up the next morning...gone!! Devastated was an understatement.
Thankfully the insurance company with the caravan club were excellent and paid up fairly quickly and we have now bought a much newer and better spec van (with more security!!).
It was all of the personal items such as the childrens stuff that was the hardest to get over. It put us off of having another Hobby anyway, as they are a certain groups favourites!!
What do they do with the stolen vans once they have got them??
I've never heard of one being sold on. Are they shipped off abroad, doctored, or used used in certain communities?
There was a group of lads caught last year from memory, and I think I remember one of the reports saying that the group was responsible for half of Britain's Caravan thefts, (Noted that insurance didn't drop though).
Also never heard of one being found again and returned, though I guess it must occassionally happen.
