Apologies for deviating briefly from topic
FAO Beanpark, interested to know you were both at AEC Southall. Called in there on a number of occasions for the odd repair. I drove AECs for some hundreds of thousands of miles in late 50s and thro the 60s. Wonderful old beasts but no heaters or power steering in those days. A single windscreen wiper on the driver's side with a small blade. I remember having to pull into a lay bye on the A74 going over Beattock Summit in Scotland cos it couldn''t clear the snow. All roping and sheeting and the old hemp ropes used to be frozen like iron bars. Even had to light a bonfire under fuel tank (Elf & Safety ???) when the diesel froze. Happy days ! My first one was a Chinese 6 (Twin steer , single rear) called a Mustang.........Mick
