glad to see you've bought a van Dazzer.

We ordered an Orion in April but then had second thoughts (mainly due to cost and the more we looked at it the more we realised we'd struggle with lack of storage for our stuff). We bought a Pageant only to find it was damp so got our money back from the dealer. We now have a 2010 Ranger GT60 520/4 we bought through preloved.  We absolutely love it, I did like the end washroom in the Orion but everything else is so much better in our Ranger. We saved over 3k on the price of a new one. Ours had been used for three weekends so was still like new.

We transferred the Bailey warranty into our name (believe its £35) their should be a change of ownership form in the Bailey pack that should be with your van. We were told that a stamp in the book isnt enough and that Bailey insist on service invoice/ receipts as well so please check this out. I would say ring Bailey and ask but they are on shutdown at the min til Monday 8th (OH does their phones). The only problem we've found is that we can take it to our local Bailey dealer for its annual service but they wont do any warranty work. OH asked Bailey why and apparently some dealers will only do warranty work on vans they sell. Luckily we've found another dealer fairly local that will do service and warranty work.

The dealer should service your van but again make sure they are a Bailey approved dealer or your warranty may be invalid.

Hope I havent worried you, I just hope to help as we too are new to all this and have been on a steep learning curve!

Thanks for the advice and your comment on porch awnings on the other posts. The dealer is getting it fully serviced for us at an approved bailey dealer (its the site next door) but unfortunatly the previous owners didn't get the service booked stamped. We are fairly sure it has been done but will need to contact Bailey after the 8th to see whats on their systems. Sadley there also wasn't any receipts with the old paperwork but we have checked it out fully including getting a friend who use to PDI vans to go over it with a decent damp meter. As the dealer has included 6 months warranty with it we would only loose out on a further 18 months water ingress warranty with Bailey worse case if they won't let us transfer it due to a lack of paperwork. Other than that we are very happy with it, it even came with Tyron bands on all the wheels....another indication that it was well looked after and makes me think it was fully serviced just not stamped in the book.

They are also doing a full live working handover with us in a few weeks so we can then test all the water, electrics and learn how to work everything!

The funny thing was an hour after I phoned to say we would have it someone else phoned up to buy it and then when I went there tonight to pay the deposit another couple had also come in wanting to get it............talk about nearly missing the boat

We liked the GT60 as well but overall are really pleased with the deal we got and its a lovely light first van for us and our 7 month old!

I think we will be spending the weekend booking some holidays with our new caravan club membership!

sounds brilliant, you've done all the hard work now comes the fun (getting out and using it). We've done three weekends in ours and each time it gets easier. Last weekend we both remarked how easy the set up was (levelling and set up seems to get quicker and coming home Monday we didnt take long to pack up either. We're off to France next week, 8 hrs drive from the port to the site we're doing over 2 days. OH says if that dosent get him used to towing what will!

Bailey are really helpful so I definetly recommend ringing them. OH took me past the factory the other day, yards stacked with new Baileys waiting to go out. We're really happy with our Bailey and I'm sure you will be too.
