Smeatons Lake in Newark Nottinghamshire do storage and will tow your van on to the pitch for you
Its quite a nice site too and open all year not bad facilities either

Thanks so much for the ideas. Had a chat with my husband and we got a few quotes for a tow bar which were significantly less than the dealer quoted :) Checked out the cost of insurance which was fine and i'm about to email a site back which has a waiting list to see if we can go onto it. We'll keep scouring ebay for a van and see what happens.

we are on a lovely site near clumber thats cheap all week to leave van on site no ehu but just use batteries for everything, oh plus tv lol, an there is some cheap statics there for sale too so that maybe better for you hun

I'm on Motability too and had a towbar fitted by a mobile fitting company http://www.advancedtowing.co.uk/contact_details.html. They are based in Acrington Mine was £209 for a Skoda Roomster - much less than the dealer's quote!!!

As long as a towbar fitting company are VAT registered they can fit to a Motability car. The only thing you need do is tell RSA Insurance that you have a modification (towbar) and they make a note of it on your record.

I exchange again in November so have to sort out a new towbar and hoist for the new car. It is a bit annoying you can't take the stuff with you.
