Got a selection of filler pipes and tap fittings in the front locker but the easiest to use if the tap is fairly low is a pop bottle with the bottomcut off. Usually manage to fill with the Aquaroll on the roll thro the side cap without detaching handle.......Mick

I use a £2 tube from any toy shop it fits around most taps with no spill and takes half the time to fill it comes in various colours and when you have filled up you can swing it around your head it makes a lovely whistling noise its a damn site cheaper than most products too!

I notice that most people when they get back to the caravan with a full aquaroll then lift it and stand it on its end.

Why not leave it on its side, chock it with a wedge and use the side entry for the pipe/pump tube.

Saves a bit of lifting and the barrel is ready for taking away next time. Just add the handle.

Likewise at the tap, use the side entry for filling. No need to turn the barrel nor remove the handle.

We couldn't use our Water Hog on its side as the pump only fits the top hole as the side hole is too big. I understand that the Aqua's holes are the same size! Hubby has now made a hole a large top for the pump but of course we need to change the top when rolling for refilling!

What a good idea hereward, I might give it a go next weekend.

I have a piece of white plastic drain pipe from B&Q or similar cut down to 18/20 inches or so. I drilled a hole right thru both sides about 1/2 inch from top rim. Insert an 9 or 10 inch  piece of thin bungee cord into one hole and fold it backon itself to form a loop, tiewrap it to hold this end in place. Push other end thru other hole and tie a knot on the end to stop it being pulled back thru.

Place pipe on tap outlet, loop bungee around back of tap and pull tight to hold it in place. (If you don't drill too big a hole it will automatically grip the cord when its pulled).

'I dont get it? whats wrong with the pipe that comes with it? Never had any problems'

Everybody who has the solid tubes has used the one that came with the aquaroll and found it annoying.  More often than not it doesn't fit well on the tap and you end up stooping to hold it in place and water is wasted as it leaks from the rubber cone.

Believe me the solid pipe is easier and very cheap if you make it yourself.  For me £5 worked out cheaper than driving round for the bits and spending precious time making one up.

This is one fix that is cheap and makes fetching water less of a chore.

Yep, as brianconway says they are often a fiddle to fit and if you turn the flow on too hard it flirts of spraying water all over. With the tube you can turn it on full as there is no back pressure.

i recently saw a chap filling his aquaroll with what looked like a piece of straight pipe about1 1/2-2in diameter about 14 in long which was held between the tap and the filler hole in the aquaroll. It was a lot quicker to fill up rather than a normal tap connector and plastic hose. Has anyone seen or bought one as i'd like to know where to get one from ? i wish i'd been a bit closer to him so as to ask him where it came from.I wondered if it was a peice of plastic piping from a plumbers merchant or whether it was from a caravan shop with food or hygene standard

We've used that for years, it was even easier & quicker than the hose pipe used be a neighbouring pitch in Cornwall last recently. The only difference being he could fill theirs while his wife was in the shower & I couldn't.  Just go to B&Q & you'll find all the pipe you need it's only plastic waste type pipe used under your sink at home cut to length.
