I cannot see any improvement on new caravans, regarding the inferior racking as in our 2006 Coachman. When we had motorhomes, the crockery rack was a plywood shelf, with profiled cutouts to accommodate the crockery. For travelling, simple webbing straps were put into place on press studs. And this metal racking is in a roof locker, conveniently positioned above sink and hob glass tops to cause maximum damage in the event of droppage.
I don't like major alterations in caravans (based on resale effects) but, if we do decide to keep this van, I will be making a new crockery storage arrangement that really does the job.
