You cannot demand a new van as that is a contractual remedy against the original dealer who sold you the van under the Sale of Goods Act. As your dealer has gone "bust", would this be Discover? If so then you may be able to lodge a claim against the receivers but I wouldn't hold your breath for a decent remedy.

I am afraid that it is one of these things. Shrug your shoulders and just rely on getting it repaired under your warranty through a dealer authorised by your manufacturer.

No point in chasing a remedy that is not available to you. You just start to believe that that remedy will appear and you just end up frustrated and angry that no one seems to be listening. There is no one to listen.

Talk it over with the manufacturer and ask them to authorise some other local dealer to remedy the problem.
