Our swift charisma has the same filling point as yours. I used a plastic petrol can with the long spout attached - saves spilling half the water on the deck

Any more info on the weekend ?
Yep. It was our second outing with a caravan and we've still not noticeably broken anything. We're now such experts at hitching and unhitching that we can do it with only the briefest of glances at the manual.
We stayed on a CL next to the Lakeland Maize Maze (which, out of season, is not so amazing as one might expect) and saw absolutely nobody on the site until we were about to leave. Delightfully peaceful.
Our walk up Wansfell from Ambleside was aborted due to sinking cloud cover and subsequent torrential rain (the near horizontal sort that will defeat some of the best waterproofs*). Sadly this meant we had to find a warm refuge to supply us with cool hopped drinks.
The warmth of our caravan continues to surprise us: my parents' caravan never seemed to be warm, this one retains warmth tremendously. We may yet go away in it later this month.
