Store mine nose high, so excess water runs off the back, for simple reason that there are far more 'holes' in front, like 3 windows, front marker lights and gas locker, so more seals to potentially leak, and I don't want excess water flooding across A frame cowling and under the hitch cover onto stowed electrics plug, the ATC light and the handbrake, jockey wheel and hitch mechanisms. The price is a few black streaks down the back, but roof remains clear of debris and green slime, and the A frame stuff is always dry.

We level a van so that a. We don't roll into each other in bed b. The water flows out of the kitchen sink and shower properly c. ...The important issue...so that the fridge works correctly. It has to be within so many degrees of level to function correctly When the van is in storage none of the above apply so we sit it tilted or level (or whatever) for the situation we are trying to achieve. Thus it doesn't really matter if you tilt it forward or backwards to get the rain off the roof Phil
The OP is talking about 'STORAGE' position ... not nose down for in use.
