I always used to disconnect batteries on previous vans but didn't on this one due to the alarm.

Are most of the above not covered by the 'Master' switch (on a Bailey) though?

I think some investigation  is required now I have a new battery...

we have a bailey 500/5 and the master switch controls as far as know, lights and fire fan and water pump, maybe 12 volt socket.need to get the book out and see.

Hi michael

Couple of things maybe,

Mover switch still in on position, or the tilt alarm using up power.

A quick update on my flat battery issue...

(sorry to hijack the thread OP!)

After fitting the new battery I checked the voltage output whilst doing various tests. The motor mover while in standby mode caused the voltage to drop by 0.2V so that will always be switched off from now on. Even with everything switched off in the van (master switch, fridge light, Status amp, mains circuit breakers etc.) there was still a noticable spark and voltage drop of 0.3V when I connected the battery. From this I can only presume the alarm must pull power even when not activated.

I will obviously have to completely disconnect the battery when not in use which makes having an alarm seem somewhat pointless

andyboy.most alarms have there own battery built in,fine until flat.then may take power from the main battery.worth a check.
