I am surprised its only going up to 1725kg as ours is a sterling Eccles sport 636 and Is upgraded to 1800kg ??

Lassie we asked the dealer we bought it off but apparently there is a second plate in the front locker and that will tell you hth


We have the Challenger Sport version of the 636 and would be very interested in doing this as the tow car has an unladen weight of 2300kg. Is it just a case of asking the dealer?

I just called up my dealer advised I have been informed that the caravans mac weight is 1800 and I wanted to request an uprated weight if 1725. My dealer emailed swift got a response that afternoon confirming it can happen. I then paid £60 to the dealer and they are sorting it. I believe at the end I just get a new weight plate sticker and the caravan is then reregistered with new weight details. From what I can tell the price depends on how much the dealer wants to charge as I have seen mentions of £40, £50 and £60.

Yeah we just asked the dealer and we were fortunate that they didn't charge us that may have been due to the fact that we requested it as we bought it and It was sorted by the sales side rather than the service side .

Being nosey what car do u have ??
