God that's horrible. Poor dog. And contents noted well.

If I've attached my dog to the towball, it's after disconnecting the van and putting the car in it's final parking place. She stays inside the car until its parked and ignition off. After I've sorted out the caravan, she is transferred either to the inside of the van, or her lead is looped over the jockey wheel.

I usually go somewhere pretty level on sites. I don't lift the van with my corner steadies as a rule!
