for me the caravan club was £100 a year cheaper than caravan guard and that includes the cost of membership.
allways remember to reduce the value of your caravan to the market value each year and your insurance will fall with that value.
they wont automaticly do this, you have to tell them.
this is why you end up paying high insurance rates for a caravan thats falling in value every year .
You can insure your caravan for high values etc but they will only pay you market value if anything happens.

Worth checking independants aso such as Adrian Flux to name but one. Also some house insurane companies also do caravan insurance such as Zurich, plus u get a discount if you insure your house wih them. That said, i am with EandL.

2gether insurance are who undervalued my max sum insured, then told me after accident I was not insured for use on the road!!! told me i could not claim...luckily I rang Insurers direct and was all fine. They are now chasing me for renewal for my written off caravan!! totally incompetent.

I notice that Caravan Guard have a rather strange condition on their policy that increases your excess for storm damage, in certain circumstances, to £500 between 1st November and 15th March.

So far, for my 2009 Lunar Clubman, I have had quotes ranging from £260 (Saga) down to £142 (Cover4Caravans). The devil is in the detail though! Saga does not include European cover as standard. Many don't reward you with a no-claims bonus.

A very useful site to compare companies is
Defaqto

I have found that both Coast and Towergate have been very good at phoning me up and making sure that the cover was suitable and that all discounts applied but neither were much different in price to the Caravan Club- a dead cert for quality!

Another reasonable quote came from Crusader but no one seems to have mentioned this company on the forum.

Also, be very clear about whether your caravan mover is included as equipment- some list it as a separate item.
