Many thanks Janus. I have had a look at this one and now added it to my list. What kind of towing ratio do you have, towing with a Mondeo tdci 115?
It is about 97% but it is absolutely superbly stable, I have never driven better in twenty years of towing and I have tried several large 4x4's. Get on the motorway and by the end of the acceleration lane I am doing 55 in 5th ( top ) so stick it in cruise and it goes up hill and down dale with no interference, even if I turn left when I get to the motorway and go up windy hill into Yorkshire. I get somewhere between 33 and 35 mpg towing, and te solo figures can be unbelievably good ( mid 60's on decent runs on the motorway ), though I stick to the mid 50's even then as Anne has severe vertigo and speed bothers her.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
