I got from the bay a normal sky dish quad lnb sat finder 10m cable a tripod sky box remote and remote eye for 75 pounds delivered. I use dishpointer.com to see where roughly I should be aiming to find astra 2 satellite. So far max amount time taken to find it has been about 10 min normally I'm locked on in under 2 mins.

I have the suitcase sd one from Maplins. It cost me £50 a few years back. I have no problems setting it up. We were in the Paris area a couple of weeks ago and set it up using the compass and using experience to get the angle before turning on the receiver to tune it in and to my amazement when I turned it on it was spot on. I received a signal straight away.

This was a fluke but the more times these are set up the easier it gets.

My portable satelite has arrived, It looks good, I will set it up this weekend in the garden to see how it performs.
