If air gets into the line then this will keep the pump running. The air bubble is telling the pump there is no water.Ours does this when there is an air bubble.Then again it could be somethinf entirely different but a hairline crack will let air in.

Not sure if I've read this right. You can get any amount of air into a system (usually inadvertently when filling), but an airlock won't cause the pump to run providing the system is air-tight and sealed. Pump running is usually due to a reduction or loss in pressure due to leak in the system or poor voltage to the pressure switch. If you're system runs at odd times, you need to check the pressure switch set-up.

My last two caravans had a pressure switch in the system and I had problems with either the pump not running or running constantly. I found that the pressure switch needed fine tuning and once set it seemed to sort the problem. If it is of any help the switch on mine was located under the right hand front bunk and was easily accessible.

Hi,

Thanks to each and everyone of you for your input on this Has  blown me away.

The conclusion I have come is that It could very likely Be the Hair line crack on the Housing?? I maybe wrong,I have only just Purchased the Van so I think a full service is in order!!

Did you have water in your water bottle?  on the last day of our holiday we noticed the pump was running continuously on our van and it was because the water had run out.
