The lack of consistency on applying the 12 arrival rule is becoming even more regular these days it would seem. We too always time our arrival to be noon or afterwards, and regularly find the wardens have been letting people on long before this which is both unfair and frustrating. We recently returned from Trewethett Farm in Cornwall, and they were arriving from much earlier in many cases and they weren't people who had been on the LN arrivals area. The wardens didn't seem to be concerned. The Club needs to decide whether the rule exists or not and make it easy for the wardens to enforce, as I appreciate it is very difficult for them sometimes to turn people away. However in the interests of fairness there should be a penalty for arriving earlier, or they should just do away with it completely or even move to a 10am departure/arrivals rule or something earlier. Personally I think noon is fair and they need to enforce it or invoke some form of financial penalty (extra night or something) for those that choose to arrive early and the wardens should be given flexiblity to let them on if there's space. For many sites including the one we were on, pre noon arrivals are a problem due to site access issues (narrow approach etc). We met an early arrival on our 10.30 departure, and I wasn't best pleased that I was the one that had to do the reversing to accommodate him!!

The Caravan club should be strict on arrival time and not let people that turn up an hour or so early onto the site, it is unfair and annoying to see people that think the rules don't apply to them setting up when you have arrived as you should do after 12.00!
Well three out of three CC sites we have visited during the last month have all had strict 'no arrivals before 12noon' rulings, the last site we visited directed early arrivals onto a large visitor centre carpark about a mile down the road, which had no connection at all with the CC club.
Im still quite suprised how quiet all the sites we have visited are, still plenty of vacant pitches and more like mid May than the height of the season, the only things that are high are the prices and the temps, a humid 32*C in our awning a few nights ago, its a good job we packed a couple of large fans.
Even the town centres that are normally packed with few carparking spaces available are relatively easy to access, looks like more people have simply stayed at home this year rather than take a holiday.
