The weather in winter is more predictable. You can have some great sunshine. We`ll be off in Feb hopefully.  Ya can`t beat a freezing shower block!  What a way to wake up . . .

A few thoughts to add to the list -

Insulate under caravan waste pipes with foam pipe lagging - cheap and effective. Stand Aquaroll on a block of 50mm Kingspan or similar to raise of ground and good insulator. a good insulated cover for aquaroll and pipe. Hot water bottle under insulated cover if in doubt. A full aquaroll is less likely to freeze than one partly full due to greater thermal mass (especially with a kettle full of hot water in it before going to bed!) If it is going to be very cold empty aquaroll and remove pump to inside of awning. Take a small watercarrier in case water system freezes up (some caravans have poorly routed pipes). If its going to freeze use a bucket instead of wastemaster etc as it is easy to turn an icecube of frozen grey water out of a bucket but not so easy to get 30 odd litres of ice out of a 3" hole. I use an old 10 litre plastic paint bucket as it has a lid and I have a hole cut into this so that the grey water is not as exposed and it holds the pipe in place as you do not want to have saggy pipes trapping water.

I always take a spare electric heater in case of problems with heating system and can use it as a top up on really cold evenings(ok at -15C). Thick mats on floor or electric under carpet heating as the floor is always a cold spot. I tend to use two awning skirts (one each side of caravan) to reduce the heat loss but still keeping each end open to ensure adequate ventilation. If it snows a lot make sure you clear it from around the caravan so that underfloor vents etc still work effectively. A good lightweight snow shovel is handy as is a tow rope for the occasions when an extra set of wheels pulling will get you off site. Don't try to tow in snow more than a few inches deep as it will either build up in wheel arches or front mounted motormovers act as snow ploughs doing them no good. Also make sure the front lower edge of the caravan is clear of the snow as while it may look like a snow plough it will not last long if trying to push through deep snow. Try and lift ehu cable each day as it is a bu**er to recover it once it is frozen into the ground and the insulation goes stiff. A vacuum flask for hot drinks and another for hot food such as stews or curries could be a life saver if you get stuck or go out walking for the day. Wellies as well as a decent pair of walking boots and gaiters to keep the snow and mud out. Wellies better for the muddy swamps that occur at the entrance to some sites when it is not freezing. If you put an awning up try to keep it clear of snow or use one designed for winter use that has a steep roof and is made from a pvc type material such as the Isabella Snowboy or the old Trio Alpine/Snow.

You tend to get into a certain frame of mind when winter caravanning and the above become second nature. I love it in the winter and often I am the only person on a CL/CS site. Places like N Norfolk or the Suffolk Sandlings coast are totally different in the winter with masses of bird life and few people. I don't do mountains and large hill in the winter as I am too much of a wimp!

Apologies for the lack of structure in the above but it was as things came to mind and I am still in summer mode (wishful thinking) at the moment.

We have used our caravan all winter for years both touring and when we  visit family 250 miles away.

The aqua roll covers sold in most caravan shops we found next to useless, best buy a hot water tank jacket from say B & Q, much cheaper and MUCH thicker.

Gas bottles must be propane for winter caravaning; otherwise sooner or later butane (blue) will freeze up on you.

Lag the top of the water pump from the aqua roll to the caravan inlet, always carry a shovel and De-Icer.

Never assume you gas bottle rubber pipes are ok, 'bend them' and check for any signs of cracks, on our last caravan we always replaced them yearly, peanuts in cost but better than risking a leak!

Before going squart WD40 in all locks, if using a wheel clamp grease any screws.

Hope this might help

Mike
