Hi jonboy1, Just saw your post. Had similar problems with the Haven Holiday Park in Berwick, booked one week in a disabled caravan with walk in shower that can take a wheel chair, and had to be next to main block (as they are on level ground), arrived to find not the caravan promised and caravan over 500yards down a steep hill, shower had a 2inch high base for shower tray, and would not support a wheel chair, caravan plates and utensils had to be cleaned before use, also found them to be over priced, bottle of beer £1.25p higher than in the town pubs, poor quality of food, slow service, charge for passes in the price even though the indoor and out door pool was useless for any one in wheel chair absolutely no access, (described as disable friendly at time of booking, Joke!!!), complained to reception staff ( not much help just the box standard answers), we put up with it for the week as our son and the grand kids were in another caravan and did not want us to leave. After returning home sent off a strong letter of complaint, I was offered a complimentary holiday at one of their other disable friendly parks and the passes fee returned (£189.00 for two people), accepted the refund but declined the free holiday, may sound daft!!!, but any one in the same position as our self’s will know exactly why I did decline the offer. Will never use a Haven Holiday Park again. So my advice to you is complain very strongly and do not give up.

Touring caravanners are treated as second rate guests at Haven despite the massive pitch fees.  We learned this when we went to Tenby.  Pitches were flooded so bad and the management didn't want to know, the poor tenters had seagulls swimming through their tents it was so bad!

Haven south of the border appear to have much better parks than in Scotland.
We visited Seton Sands a few years ago and are still having nightmares at the memory of it.
We arrived on a cheapy with no expectations of what we regard as a great holiday, more a chance of a couple of cheap days away.
Didn't expect to only stay overnight as the park was full of Neds, the loos were filthy, the pitches flooded (in a dry summer!) and wardens incapable of doing anything about it !
We have an uncle who lives just down the road from the site and says if anything, its getting worse and yet some folks give it a great review !!
As the old saying goes...........it wouldn't do if we were all the same !

have stayed at Haven a few times and the novelty has worn off to the point where we wouldnt even mention their name when even thinking about planning a holiday anymore.  Too many issues to mention here, but glad we're not the only ones ;)

We go to Haven at least once a year as a large family group. This year it was just me and hubby, 2 weeks in Rockley Park near Poole. The site was clean and tidy, the staff extremly helpful and nice but the facilities were very small for the size of the site. Plus we had our water pump stolen. In all the years camping and now caravanning its the first time we have had anything stolen. Hubby was fuming. its good job there was a GO Outdoors near by as we had to buy a new one.Needless to say a chain and padlock was also purchased and from now on it will always be securly locked to the van
