Our lunar zenith now resides in NZ, I was a bit suspicious but it all went smoothly like carols did.
Apparently it's common for them to buy them here and to ship them over there as even taking into account shipping costs it still works out cheaper.

Hi all brought my van through eBay this year was local to us so went and viewed it twice before making them an offer , is our first van done some research using this site and wizards repair site so I knew what to look out for.
Had dot do a bit of work on it but it is 13 years old .
So if you go armed with the right info you can get some good deals.
Hi,
This is the website for the company that bought our van - I think the bloke that they sent round was called 'John Haywards.Very pleasant people to deal with too.

I recognize them, when we were selling our previous swift a couple of months back, they sent us a few offers, quite low ones, so we said no both times, and they never got back again.
I think they are genuine , but they don't like paying the prices.

Yes thought they would offer low, not really in a big rush to sell the van so happy to wait for the right price, thanks for all the replies

Same goes when you're trying to sell. Folk wanting something for nothing. I'm selling a trailer (see my other ebay thread). The accessories alone would cost more than i'm selling the lot for and still folk want it for nowt. I'm in no hurry to sell though, and as Millercom said in another thread, if I still have it in the Spring the price goes up!
I agree with you I am also in no rush it's at home plugged in ,not in the way ,I have not had any offers yet but it can wait until next year ,we have a local couple looking on Wednesday night so we will see after that

Caravans are silly expensive in New Zealand and its very common for European caravans to be bought and shipped as even with the shipping costs it often is significantly cheaper than "home grown ones". Also large expat communty in NZ
I've never bought one on Ebay but we did sell our last one on there a few years ago & we actually have our current one advertised on there now. I always describe what ever I'm selling exactly as it is & then no one can argue about it. If I did ever turn up to collect an item and it wasn't what I expected it to be I'm afraid it would stay where it was. I on't know how you'd stand if a deposit had been paid, you may go the loser of that but I still wouldn't continue with a purchase of an item which wasn't right.
What sort of caravan are you looking for? the descrition of ours is spot on if a 5 berth with everything included is any good to you. It's in free ads on here as well

That's interesting Murano, did you contact them or did they respond to your advert? We have our complete outit advertised so it might be something they'd be interested in.
Thanks for all the replies. The message that I am getting is always look first, very carefully and if it is what you want and described accuarately, then go for it.
