We go away fro 10 weeks at a time and all emails can wait.

If we are needed by someone important to us, they can phone us.

Otherwise I will do the over a 1000+  emails  I get when I come  back.  not before.

 Ah! peace.

Internet is very handy when away.
It's not all about email.
Finding out about places to visit, opening times, prices. Phone numbers, Sailing times, ferries , Booking fishing trips and theaters / shows , Ordering takeaways, Maps , campsites, shopping etc.
Also handy for internet TV NEWS and WEATHER.

Some people like to be totally away from it all. Some like to be cut off from the outside world but some want something else.

Last holiday , we saved our grown up kids £40 in petrol by looking on the internet and finding a theme-park they were going to that day was closed unexpectedly .

I agree it is useful as I use it myself at home. But this is only my preference which is more to my Bob's preference for me so, I do not spend a lot of time on it.

Which incidently when I gave him my old laptop to use for just cds/dvds & roms. I took the internet off so he would not make a mistake and leave himself wide open to a security problem. He has the Microsoft games on it and he will play 3-4 games for hours.

He is now  worse than I am so maybe that is the real reason ,no longer for me, but himself to stop.17

Just come back from a site that charges £1 .00 per hour for the internet, I know you would not but that works out at £168 00 per week .
so the above suggestions sound good to me.

I must be fair on this - Club WiFi have now agreed my service was a bit iffy and agreed to both investigate it and either refund me or give me a free week next time.

I suppose it depends on how much you rely on the internet while on holiday. I get e-mails automaticly to my mobile phone and can access the internet as well if I should need it. I dont usually need it if I'm on holiday although I did in August when my car developed a fault and I needed a part from a main dealer so searched for it on my phone, so very handy then.

Recently returned form a stay at South Lytchett Manor caravan park which was great and even better was the provision of free WiFi to all areas of the site.

Why don't you tether your mobile phones to your devices instead of forking out for expensive WI Fi?

Many caravan sites are located where the 3g signal is very poor to say the least.
