I did the survey and I did not get the impression at all that they wanted to stop the paper magazine. My impression was that they wanted to guage opinion on what percentage of members would want to see the magazine and various other publications as online versions. In no sense did I read into the survey that they wanted to stop paper publications. For one thing it would be questionable whether they would get the same amount on advertising revenue if they went completely digital. This survey may have been driven by the view express on the CC forum that quite a few people would like to opt out of getting the magazine and some said they would prefer to access it online. I think I am right in saying that you can't access the complete magazine online just parts of each issue.
As with the Caravan mags I buy, I like to read them whilst away in the van. After they get 3 months old or so I cut out the site reviews and features and file the site and touring reviews in ring binders in poly pockets. Makes great future reference and easy to locate reviews on particular areas and sites. I would miss the paper version!
If by online they mean via the website then I wouldn't be that keen, but if they mean an electronic copy, possibly emailed or downloadable, then I would definitely prefer that. I can read it on a tablet and wouldn't have to find shelf space to store it.
As to reducing the fees, well I'm glad to see the forum has retained a sense of humour because let's be honest, it's not going to happen is it.
I think the idea was that it would be a downloadable version. I don't think they have got as far as deciding how that might be achieved. You might have to log-on the the main website and download from there.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I would be happy with a download version that I could read on my Kindle or PC but only if I had a discount off the membership fee. It would mean that I could get a copy of the magazine whilst travelling about and not have to wait until I returned home. It would also be another item less that I would need to have in caravan. A few years ago I said I would never read books unless they were in printed form but now almost all my reading is done on my Kindle.
We are all different and most of us do change our views over a period of time.

I do find the CC's magazine along with others we take rather a waste of resources, we read them and a couple of months later they go into the recycling bin.
If I want to read something again the CC's archives have proved to be okay.
So to reduce the clutter here at home and help our planet I would cope with PDf type files. It would be nice to cherry pick any article I wanted to save.
It would also make finding the damn thing, which either of us leaves where we put it down, a lot easier
