Just been in the van to remind myself of what I did for the tea cosy. I cast on a basic cast on with Aran yarn on 5 mm needles took a ruff mesurment of stiches to get the width i wanted across one side of the tea pot and did 5 stitches knit then 5 purle along the row on the way finishing with 5 purle the 4 rows were the same as the first row 6 was purle 5 stitches then knit 5 repeated for the next 4 rows these 10 rows are all I did for the body of the tea cosy till it was the hight of the tea pot make a second side to fit Sew them together leaving a hole for hand and spowt. I did a row of gathering stitch and drew it up at the top of the tea cosy to close the top in just sew it together a few times ones drawn up to keep it secure
The rose I cast on 20 stitches in Aran on mm needls knited 5 rows stocking stitch next row knit 2 then knit 2 together along the row next row knit 2 together along the row break yarn leaving a long tail thread this on a needle and thread it throw stiches on needle wind the knitting in a coil and draw the yarn up to make the rise shape and sew the end together to secure then sew on tea cosy.
Leaves were cast on 3 stiches stocking stiche knit a 1 row next rows continue in stocking stich adding a stich on the end of each row till there's 7 stiches knit straits for 6 rows then decrease one stich at end of each row till there are 3 stiches left. Knit these 3 together and break yarn thread through last stich sew on tea cosy I just keeper making flowers and adding them till I was happy with how it looked.
Oh thank you so much for taking the time for sort the pattern out for me. Very kind of you. I don't want to make a tea cosy but I could make a cylinder shape and make a plant pot and stuff it so it looks like a pot of flowers.
I would still knit it on two peaces but Ann a stich each end every 10 rows so you get the shap of a flower pot that gets slightly bigger at the top. I wanted flower in the van and a tea pot so decided to combin the 2 as there's not a lot of room in a 12 foot caravan lol
