Ho hum. Now I'm having trouble finding a reputable local service agent to fit the wretched things. Shropshire folk are not at ease with the concept of wheeled vehicles. Any suggestions welcome. Also any idea of the likely cost of such an operation?
Sorry to hear that. I dealt with a company here in East Hampshire - which isn't a lot of use to you. Maybe BPW could suggest someone? You need a competent caravan engineer/technician. From memory, I paid about £400 ish, which is a lot of money, but I rationalised that to the thought of extending the longevity of the 'van. The guys who did the changeover said "you won't shift that lot!"

....and when I read the horror stories on this forum regarding others' problems - I feel I made the right decision. What is damp? Even after nearly 10 years and the replacement chassis rails there is no ingress.
Shropshire lad, have you had any success with finding someone to fit the rails. If so, what sort of figure did they quote? I just discovered one of my LV485 chassis rails is completely fractured and BPW sent out the last set of FOC rails about a month ago ( probably yours :) ) so I will have to purchase a set (£420). Only fitting quote I have received so far is approx 18hrs labour at main dealer prices which is not far short of £1000. Gulp!!! :(
