Have you driven with it too low and hitting the ground?
The pneumatic wheels are good for low ground pressure, ie they float over soft ground easier but they shouldn't be needed on a caravan. They are more suited to boat trailers (I have one on my boat trailer so it doesn't sink in the sand).
i would agree with this post. take a little extra time to make sure your jockey wheel goes up in between the A frame.
Fully wound- Pulled up between Aframe and secured correctly with side screw.
Also make sure your jockey wheel can rotate when you are using the mover. We forgot to wind out and moved the van with the wheel locked in its travelling position, when we attempted to turn the van there were some horrible noises as the wheel wouldn't go in anydirection other than forwards.

I have this set up, may be over the top, some would say, but I have no problems at all, caravan 1139kg.
hi 4 stroke.
how much are these kind of wheels and where do you buy them?
cheers
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I had a pneumatic wheel but it only lasted 6 months before I noticed splitting on the side, spoke to a specialist dealer who said they are just put under too much stress with motor movers so I went back to a decent solid wheel and all is fine now, it moved better over shingle but sideways move puts too much stress on the walls of the tyre it would seem when using the motor mover
I've just came across this post and there are lots of good points to remember. I have a mover fitted and last week my jockey wheel snapped at the handle while trying to unhitch, not a good position since I was blocking the access road to all my neighbours houses. Managed to get it unhitched by raising it using the car jack, luckily it still was ok to manoverve the caravan into position. New jockey wheel now fitted and I will take more care when using.
Thanks everyone.
