A dehumidifier is basically a fridge with a fan and it will use a darned sight less electricity to run than a heater. But each to his own.

We have been using our dehumidifier on all our units for over 15 years now and it works a treat.

I am 30 miles away so a heater is no good for me. So I will use the traps better safe than sorry being so far away.

A Howf is generally a place where you go to have your teabreak at work, not like a canteen..not as posh.
It could be a porta cabin,shed an old caravan used for that purpose ,maybe in the building trade etc.

I used to work in a foundry and we built a Howf inside the factory near our work area, nice and cosy with a fire and some old car seats, table etc, I suppose it looked like a shed..
You wouldn't be allowed nowadays due to elf and safety..
