Hey, the whole thing could be a scam who knows? - but we shouldnt just assume it is and therefore label the ebayer a scammer without having any evidence:(
Sign of the times my friend, trial by media, Facebook or Twitter, or in this case ukcampsite.
I'm sorry, but I think anyone blithering away on an open forum about someone being a scammer is out of order.
This is an open forum I believe? That is, if an Internet search was made for this model of caravan, this thread would appear, as would the eBay advert?
That might potentially spoil a sale for this guy, who in all probability is genuine.
At least judgment should be reserved until someone has actually been, seen the van, and feels they have some proof to back up their suspicions.

Curious as to why they left instant feedback for them.
Account created some time ago and suddenly 5 99p transactions then selling something expensive.
I would be wary also.
I think someone has already explained the instant feedback issue earlier in the thread. There is no indication of when the items were purchased, just when feedback was given for them.
If the eBay user in question left bulk feedback (for his 5 earlier purchases), then the response from a certain level of eBay shop, (one that automatically gives feedback when positive feedback is received), means that he would certainly recieve all his feedbacks together, which is what appears to have happened.
All the shops he'd used were high transaction businesses so would be this type of high level shop.
It also explains the similar language used in his feedback, these are stock responses given to proprieters of higher level eBay shops to use automatically.
There is nothing at all in this ad to suggest this guy is anything other then genuine.
However, as in all situations any prospective buyer just needs to keep their wits about them.
If the van is drastically undervalued it may just indicate he needs shut quickly, and not for any underhand reason.
Be interesting to see the verdict of the earlier poster asking to view, yes?
There is no indication of when the items were purchased,
Yes there is. follow the feedback to the seller, Check the item and he? bought the items and left feedback within 3 minutes.
Date of purchase 06-Nov-13 14:47:01 GMT. Feedback left by the buyer 14:50 (3 minutes later)
All the 5 items were bought within 1 minute and feedback received instantly. Yes all normal.
But who gives sellers feedback instantly? Do you leave feedback for items you have not received yet?

Grampian, if youre following through to the sellers pages (the sellers that this guy has purchased from), the dates you're seeing are when he left his feedback, not when he purchased.
This comes back round to my point about automatic feedback.
Anyway, were getting off message with arguments about how Fleabay works.
Some valid points have been made about how scammers work, If anyone was to take 5k in cash then being accompanied by two or three large mates might not be a bad idea.
If the goal post move and the owner does suddenly need cash sending overseas then the sensible thing is to walk away.
I did suggest that any purchaser needs to keep their wits about them with any transaction like this.

Apologies Grampian, (grovel, snivel, whimper), you're right about purchase time.
I followed it through to the end and found the item and when it was purchased, and yes, it was only minutes before he left feedback.
