Just replying to a couple of posts :)
My mother does know im out ;) does yours ?
I don't actually have a B+E test, i went down to my local caravan dealer wich is in Holmes chapel (leisure sales) and asked them about the towing laws etc.. And the lady their said im completley legal to tow my van provided im within a certain weight limit ? I checked the weight and the towing capability of my car and i went back and asked them again with all my weights written down etc and they said i don't need to take a test, I don't know if I've been legal tho ?? I always insure my caravan when i go away tho, i have driven past Vosa no end of times and they have never bothered me and police have just gave me the nod, but if some one else knows if i should have to take a test please let me know as i would prefer to be completley legal and have the paper work to say i can tow :)
I have only been driving since 18th may 2012 so i actually took my caravan away when i was 18! Down to boddelywydan vintage steam rally, I've got a trip booked to cornwall in April :)
Just so you all know, i always went to cornwall every year with my parents and cousins and this is the ready i love caravaning! I just love the feeling of driving at night, looking in your rear view mirror and seeing the side lights on the caravan kit up and just the clear road ahead! And the feeling of finally getting to the campsite and your filled with excitement and start un coupling the van from the car and telling the mrs to get the kettle on and then argue who puts the awning up!
The reason i have a caravan is because my father passed away in 2012 in febuary so i inherited the caravan, but i bought my own car with my own money to tow her :) my mum doesn't mind me taking the van away because its now myne an she likes the fact i am free and am continuing what we have already done rather than just selling the van and having the money :)
Im not like most young lads who go out drinking and wasting money, and I don't spend my time in a chaved up corsa under tesco car park, i get more enjoy ment from taking my van away! :)
Most of my mates drive 2.0 now and bang on about how fast they are, my excuse is "put a caravan on, and watch me out pull you in my diesel" they soon shut up :) haha!
Thank you everyone for the welcome! I do ramble on abit
But this is the first forum I've joined! :)
Glad to see your all welcoming the younger caravan generation :)
Oh and one of my favourite caravans is an Elddis cyclone XL and the bailey ranger 620/6, but i do love my 510/4
Also before i go!
My 230v room heater has stopped working ? It just blows cold air out, I've checked all the fuses, had the sockets out of the walls and still cant find the source of the problem, could it be a possible circuit board problem ? All heating works off the gas fine tho
Thank you all for your help and kind wishes !
