When did you pass your driving test? What you can tow changed in 1997.
If you passed since then you will only have the 'B' category on your driving license, before then and you'll have 'BE' (but check the actual license to be sure).
If you only have the 'B' then you need the max allowable weight of the towcar, subtract this from 3500kg, gives you the maximum gross weight of caravan you can tow... this is regardless of whether car and/or caravan are fully loaded (or mtplm)!
