I think they do have a major problem. They won't admit it though. I just want shot of it now. Had enough. Although the dealers are very helpful , Baileys are terrible.
As I said before they keep getting on producing these vans that are defective (speak from experience...cracked panel problem with earlier Baileys ) and keep getting away with it all.
Just look in the caravan club magazine and you will see how time and time again we see the adverts telling us how they are better built.....rubbish.
STOP BRUSHING THINGS UNDER THE CARPET BAILEY DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY ADMIT YOUR FAULTS AND DO RECALLS!!!!!!
Grrrrrr rant over.

I have a Bailey Pegasus 624 AluTech 2010 The floor at the front is water rotten it is a design fault, Warranty
dos not come into it, I am instructed that with a design fault, 6 years is not an unreasonable time scale to take out a court order against them. If any of you wish to do this please get in touch with me i am going ahead with this course action. In numbers they may take action and acknowledge there Caravans do have faults, that we have spent our money on. And please look very carefully at your warranty its not all you think it is.
Janx,
The first time ours went back for repair, it got to the dealers and didn't even get off the lorry! The work wasn't up to standard, so the dealers sent it straight back. Shocking! You would think they would get a repair right.
We got ours on finance and they are involved but they are very bad at keeping us updated with what's going on. We seem to be doing all the leg work lol
Its the usual story, most caravans of any make will be absolutely fine which is of course no help to those who's caravans are not fine. I would think that if any design faults are found they are corrected on subsequent production fairly quickly.
I don't think any make is worse than others. All makers seem very slow to fix major faults. I don't know how many caravans are produced every yr but its not that many faulty ones you read about on here in proportion to that.
I think its shocking that manufacturers behave like this. If I had the money for a new van I would expect it to be dry for at least 15 years. A good van maker should replace a leaky van if you buy new. Its not what it says on the tin!

With all due respect I see you haven't been on the forum very long. If you put in a search I think you will find that Bailey crop up more than any other for faults and major ones at that. As for correcting design faults fairly quickly..... they appear to go from one design fault to another.
In my case I think having to have new front and back panels due to cracks is very major, this was an on going fault that Bailey denied for ages and tried blaming it on the type caravan cleaner people used. They blamed everyone but themselves and then it turned out to be the fact that the panels hadn't been pre drilled before fitting.
I am still very annoyed about this alhough it was fixed there was and is clear eveidence that it has been 'messed with' and was never the same. It was the only new caravan I shall ever be able to afford and the experience and my dream was ruined.
Bailey sell far more vans than any other manufacturer so logic says you will read more complaints even if they are as reliable as others
There is lots of unhappy customers from most major brands, including Coachman and Swift group so nobody is immune. I too don't believe Bailey are any worse than other brands, mine is fine and both our friends with Baileys report no issues. Another friend has a 2014 Coacman which has leaked, cracked and then requires a complete new front end already. There are good and bad of all.
Billy X may be a Gold Member.but he knows not a thing about Bailey Caravans with his views, he can come a buy
mine and i will get a tent at £250 pounds in place of this piece £20,000 rubbish.I am like JanX i put hard earned money into my caravan and at 73 years old i thought it would be my last But the one thing i did not expect was design faults that rot the floor
Billy not been on the forum long, if only you knew.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
For those working on the law of averages and basing their opinions on quantity of products sold I would normally agree with you, I am a very reasonable person. BUT even I find it hard to hold that opinion when out of the six Bailey retreat owners I know, all but one on my site; 4 of then have or do LEAK, mainly from the same area and fault and its about time that Bailey made another RETREAT (this time on their questionable morals) and thought long and hard on their stance on this product, for god sake Bailey admit it, conduct a product recall and do what you can to regain some of the credibility you once had,
