Gosh so seems lots of happy adria owners here.....great help thanks!! A quick google and it seems lots of unhappy xplore owners which surprised me as elddis are such a big caravan maker!
After my unhappy experience,s with uk vans in the past, I bought a Geist 485 van with all the extras in 2005 and never had an ounce of trouble, I decided to renew last year but could not find a dealer in the uk. I spent hr,s on net looking and reading spec,s of all types and makes of vans. Most foreign vans had door on wrong side could not be bothered to cater for UK market( most of them belong to Hobby ) then I found Adria great vans great value, If my Adria Adora Danube was Uk made it would have cost at least £4500 more. I bought from G Cox in Denby Derbyshire who gave me a great deal as I did not part exchange. I saved £1500 on the asking price for new van as well as the extra,s thrown in free plus free delivery to site of my choice in Yorkshire as my tow car at time would not tow new van You pay about £600 on road inspection fee,s for british vans but get nothing but complaints from new owners of new vans from leaks to equipment not working or bits missing WHY ???

So went to look again at the altea shannon and the xplore and agree the adria is much better. My next question is, is the sportline worth the extra money? Near me they have a 2013 shannon for 10500 and the sportline will obviously be 13500 so is it worth the 3k? Anyone know if the sportline ds has the heki roof light and the wrap around seating? Thanks so much for your advice xx
We didn't get a sport line when we bought ours, but we did add some extras though to the altea. Think these were tyron bands, stabiliser, spare wheel, middle seat cushion and the upholstery upgrade plus alloy wheels. We got a battery too, though as we don't have a mover or go non ehu, haven't used this really. The thing they used to have was a satellite system, which we really didn't want. Also, we didn't want the drop in carpets as we preferred the easy clean hard floor with having a dog. They do have the heki now. The alloy wheels allow you to have an alko lock receiver fitted. The electric heating addition is worthwhile- we added that at it's first service. See video tour here. Video
I have an elddis 304, against all the negatives from others, it has been a perfect van. We have towed to france and had many trips away in all weathers. The L shape lounge makes for a good space to chill out and the bunks work well. The only negative is the small toilet, but we stay on sites with wash and showers etc.
Our 2014 sportline dt doesn't have a satelite system...it does have the heki light and electric/gas heating. The venture website says the heki is model specific and you can only download the brochure if you submit your details...might be worth doing that and seeing if it tells you in there...or just give them a ring, they are really helpful.
