Hi Kerry we paid £2400 ( I've got the invoice ) but this was before the refurbish and the extras mentioned but would be happy to accept what we paid for it for a quick sale.
Hi all, found this thread after googling 'lightweight caravans', and ABI Adventurer was listed. I note from this thread there are a number of forum members who own (or did previously) one of these units. Opinion seems to differ somewhat as to popularity!
I wonder whether anything has happened since thee previous postings to change any owners' opinions.
I have a Bailey Ranger 380/2 at the moment which is near the towing limit of my car, so I'd eventually like to get something a bit lighter. Not a lot to choose from these days as most caravans seem to have a max load weight in excess of 1000kg. The little Freedom caravans seem to be the only other option.
Any ideas/comments welcome!
------------- Life without dogs? I don't think so!
We had a 1997 adventurer for a few years which we sold last year as it was not getting used. We absolutely loved it and was a proper little tardis. They sadly stopped making them about 2001. We had the one without the toilet but the later versions did have a bathroom. They are like hens teeth and you would struggle to find one in good condition I would imagine. We did look at the freedoms when we wanted a lightweight van. Only problem is the roof lining often needs replacing on them. Good luck with your search.
------------- Wish I could go camping more and not have to work for a living!!!
Hi we are thinking of selling our Abi Adventurer soon and was wondering if anyone was still interested in here? It's a 2000 model with toilet, washroom and hot water. We are based in Derbyshire Nottinghamshire area.
