When we bought the Ranger at the end of last summer, it came with one full bottle of gas and one "almost empty".
Apart from testing all the units on gas, we have only used the gas for cooking.
The "almost empty" bottle is still going strong and the full one remains unused.
We have had 3 trips away so far, 4 days, 10 days and 6 days and our evening meals have all been cooked on gas and include numerous cups of coffee.
However we do use EHU on all our trips (for medical reasons) and so our fridge etc all run on the mains.

We have another 3 trips planned before the end of the season and no doubt we will need the heater on, so I don't expect the first bottle to last too much longer.
However having sold our folding camper last year after getting only dour days away in it, the joys of now having a draught free, warm caravan that we can use through to November is pure luxury!
Back to your original question. The blown air doesn't mean it uses more gas than non blown air. It just pushes the heat around.
We too use an oil filled radiator.
Well they have picked up the van this morning. Well chuffed. Its in lovely condition, and yes, the heating can be run on ehu!
the van is parked up outside my house as they have no room. After they went home, i cleaned inside from top to bottom, looks and smells lovely. Outside to do tomorrow before work (late shift).
Question i have now is the tv aerial. It says status on it. We can't try it out, as we get no tv signal, other than sat dish. We live up in the hills. Have to wait till they go on site somewhere!
------------- Enjoy life while you can, none of us know what's round the corner!
Our van also has a Status. The controls/booster is inside the front/nearside/top locker.
The aerial socket is on the control panel.
Personally I have never used it and I think it may be kaput.
We prefer a directional aerial on a mast that bolts to a bracket on the jockey wheel.
We use a PU-4 high gain aerial and as this has a diamond shaped pick up, we get both horizontal and vertical TV Transmissions and do not need to turn the aerial when we set it up.
Not all blown air systems have the electric option, ours is simply a carver fire with a fan that sucks the heat away and blows it out of the vents, when on ehu I use a fan heater, save the gas and you can point it wherever you want.
mine carver/truma heater only works on gas.. i carry a small cheapo electric fan heater under one of the seats for EHU use.. it heats my small-ish van perfectly if i ever want it to.. i just plug it into a socket at the front on the floor..
in the winter i recon i will use a 6kg bottle in four days.. i plam a trip to the highlands early january.. two 6kg bottles should stop me freezing to death.. :)
EHU leccy is cheaper if you have it.. i wont have.. he he..
