Try Brasso or silver polish its not as severe as t-cut.
if its only now on the abs or gel-coat of glassfibre front how about tar remover to dissolve. but you should make a claim against Argos who will give you their insurance company and policy No.
I made a claim for three car tyres on the M62 some years back though I did not see the tipper waggon which caused the problem the police gave me the company phone No.
The waggon was carrying reject stanley knife blades for scrap and the blades were sliding under the tailgate.
the total number of vehicles involved was 72 all claiming for 1/2/3/4 tyres. I put my spare on the front and drove my car off motor way on to embankment not hard shoulder.
I changed wheel for young couple who had no jack who in turn drove me to nearest town within a mile of my Hotel and Company Xmas Do
The police tried to prosecute me for leaving my vehicle on hard shoulder without hazard warning lights as they had towed my vehicle away. the young couple gave evidence in court that I had parked my vehicle off the hard shoulder on the gravel embankment where contractors quite often parked vehicles when working the M-way. So I am Glad I exchanged phone numbers with the young couple.
