Have you got a "flying saucer" status aerial on the roof of the van?

If you have, you will also have a switch somewhere inside the van to turn the aerial on and off (ours is in the wardrobe, under where the aerial is fitted to the roof - has a small light to tell you when it's on/off).

If you don't have a status one on the roof, you will have a plug for an aerial cable somewhere outside the van, to which you will need to attach an aerial of some kind. They sell suitable kits on ebay for a reasonable price.

Each time you set up the TV you will need to retune it into the available channels as if setting it up from scratch at home.

Thanks for all your replies, I've had a search online and found this:

Sonata standard equipment includes:

Fully fitted washroom vanity units with mixer tap and full width mirror over vanity unit.
TV station with 230v/12v and aerial connection and TV aerial with amplifier.
3kw space heater with ducted blown air system and water heater.
Free-standing table with dedicated storage area.

So it would appear that we should have an aerial!!!

I'll have to investigate before I buy one!

Be aware that you might not get a signal when/if the caravan is on your drive as the other houses may be in the way... that's why we mostly have aerials on the roof/chimney at home.

It could be that the aerial is an Avtex whip (they look just like a car aerial)

Have a look around all of the cupboards/lockers in the van and see if you can see the TV booster, mine looks like a little white box with three cables connecting too it. feel around it for the on switch (mine is on the top) and make sure its switched on.

After that look for the aerial socket near the TV station (again mine is a little fold out shelf with a power socket and the aerial socket) and then simply plug the TV into both (you may need a cable that plugs into the aerial point and then into the aerial input on your TV) and enjoy
