On a recent trip, we hit a bit of odd tarmac at exactly the same time a truck passed us, the caravan started to snack (1st proper on we have had) and it was amazing how quickly the ATC brought it back under control. I would want to use the system if it was there.
The reason I posed the question was, I might need to collect the van before I am able to have the 13 pin fitted, its about 250 mls away and I was concerned I might damage the ATC. I can see the obvious benefits of the system, Hopefully get the plug done first!!

Nothing worse than losing a caravan on its maiden voyage. Get the plug fitted first especially if towing an empty caravan.

Worth checking your insurance too. I would expect if the van has it and you don't connect it you could invalidate your insurance. We have it and I wouldn't tow without it now, it's amazing how many times you feel it activate to assist keeping you safe.
I was thinking along those lines. When you arrange insurance, the insurers know from the year, make and model of the van what its spec. is. So a non-connected ATC could invalidate the insurance.
