And Air Awnings are going to put an end to the fun lol
I am yet to be convinced. I noted one couple having one heck of a struggle as the whole awning assembly was in one piece with quite a weight of interconnected air bladders. Once in the track the pump took it up smartly enough, though I could see that awning having its relationship testing issues and I doubt they did it any quicker than I put up my Magnum doing it alone.

Not if the language coming from the caravanners next to us the other week was anything to go by!!
Usually I'm good and will go and offer to help out, however the husband was such a nasty mouthed individual having heard how he was speaking to his wife all through set up, that there was no way i was going to offer to help.
------------- My photos allow you to see what I saw at the time that I took it....No messing.
Oh no, we're newbies too - pick up our van on 5th September and we've ordered a full awning. After several years of "discussions" when we put our tent up, I was hoping a caravan would make it easier! Looks like the kids will need their earplugs in while our language gets colourful......
Have you had a look on Youtube for a demo on how to put it up? I know Isabella do them for practically everything. Sunncamp and Dorema do a few too. Worth a look in preparation.
A nice helpful camper on the pitch opposite us came over and asked us if we needed help with our awning...my response was 'flippin' 'eck no chance...having one man involved is bad enough!
