Thank you, had a quick look, nice caravan but it's too heavy. We've only got Zafira with 1.6 engine and only had it a month. We were going to upgrade to folding camper had a look at caravans but they seem to be too heavy for our car. Should have looked at them before we changed the car, looks like it will have to be folding camper.
Conventional 'white box' caravans as small as Explore 302 are not popular these days as most caravanners use larger diesel cars. That size of caravan was much more popular in 80s & 90s when cars had less power & there are plenty around in good nick at reasonable prices. This one for example. ABI were good caravans. Obviously you need to check for damp & so on but as long as running gear is serviced & tyres changed if age is uncertain they will be perfectly reliable to tow.
Thank you for that advice will have a look, something like that would be good as a first caravan, then when we change the car we will consider a bigger engine.
Good luck with a FC then, we had 11 great years having 3 different Pennines.

After considering all previous sound advice you may want to think of a S6 or S7 Bailey Pageant Monarch. We got into caravans six years ago with one (an older 2002 model) and it has been faultless and fun. It is now time to move on and up so the old girl is now for sale.
