It's the country. It get's messy. It's not meant to be a 3 star hotel is it? Next thing you will all want carpeting around the field.

Exactly!
Exactly what, I quite frankly think it is a ridiculous statement........Sorry.
Its pure idleness on the part of the camp site. I dont buy the rubbish about having nowhere to put the cuttings. All campsites have quiet corners where all sorts can be dumped. With a decent mower it doesnt take long to collect cuttings if the grass isnt allowed to get a foot long. In fact if they cut it more, the finer it would become, and the less cuttings it would throw up. Leaving all the crap all over to trail everywhere is plain wrong. If you walked around throwing sweet wrappers/rubbish as you went, on the grounds there wasnt a bin handy, they would soon moan - and rightly so. So why leave their 'rubbish' all over the place?

"exactly" just means he/she agrees with the quoted comment.
Just come back from the weekend away and had that problem, it was all in the caravan, on bottom of shoes and even got into the dogs water. I did ask the site manager but he said that it would be impossible to remove it all because it would blow away, but just to leave it puts me off going there again.
I am such a lazy b**ch when at the caravan (not at home where I can be overly fussy about mess) and so at one with nature 😛such things dont bother me. I dont clean the van or the awning till I'm leaving (unless we're there for a long break) so tend to ignore stuff like grass etc unless it becomes a hazard! It's worthy of a mention if I even shower when camping 😉😉Last week I saw my neighbour washing the grill part of her charcoal barbeque. I didnt know people did such things. But that's me lol.

I agree, shocking. We are stopped at a forest campsite and the staff just let the leaves and pine needles fall off the trees.
