Why cover it ? They are designed to be outside. I wouldn't stick a cover over my van anymore than I would my car.
..and that from a Bailey owner! lol. At least my cover kept the new van dry until the cover came off. Cars generally don't have a roof made of 2 pieces with just a narrow strip of plastic stuck across the join.
Tiger stripes, they are not stains or anything like it,they are polish marks where the cover has polished the van.
this is caused by the cover moving in the wind and polishing the van where it touches.
in windy conditions causing the cover to sort of ripple as the wind blows and it polishes the van where it touches.
It makes no difference who makes the cover its the above action that makes the marks.
If your van is stored in a sheltered position you wont get the marks, this is why some people get the marks and others dont.
Also if your van has newish unfaded paintwork you are less likley to get them as your paintwork is already highley polished.
If your painwork has dulled a bit the marks will show due to this polishing affect
so the duller your paintwork the more you will see the tiger stripes.
buy a new caravan and cover it, no stripes.
Buy a new cover for an older caravan, tiger stripes
Stored in windy conditions, tiger stripes, see where im coming from??
As you can see from the pictures the stripes are nice and shiney the rest of the van is dull.
The cover used was £400 and made to measure, all makes will do this if the cover moves in the wind not just the one make, before buying i had samples of the material used buy the top makers and they are almost identical

nothing wrong with Bailey vans, just because a few leak doesn't make the majority a great van ;-)

...unless yours is the second new Bailey that leaks. Crappy caravans, poorly designed.
Opinion based on anecdotal forums. There are thousands of Bailey vans in the UK and a very small number who chunter on forums. Quite often the same people on numerous forums.
Covers work brilliantly at least if you get ones made by the two top makes, wash the van and tighten the straps down properly. Our van has never had any ill-effects and it is kept on our drive in a windy exposed place - our house name means windy hill.

Probably hit the nail right on the head there... if it's kept on the drive .....so you can keep a close eye on it.

Not anecdotal at all. Both of mine have leaked at less than a year old, and yes I chunter, they are badly designed and even more badly made, and I have first hand experience of that.
