I'm lucky enough to have all three at my disposal. IMO, the Cobb had more advantages when we were in a tent, and we rarely use it now we have a van. Great for trips to the beach though, but honestly, it doesn't get taken with us anymore. Probably as it's been superceeded by the Cadac, which, is probably more caravan friendly, considering the external bbq point and slightly more available space to pack it - it's a big beast compared to the Cobb, and the lid doesn't pack with the rest of it easily due to the handle. We also have a small Landman dome BBQ, and neither the Cobb nor the Cadac can beat cooking over real charcoal, followed by a chance for the family to toast marsh-mellows on sticks, and sit around glowing embers to keep warm during the evening.
Not helpful to the original poster, as all three have their own advantages and disadvantages. I've thought about it, and the best advice I can give is, it depends on your outfit. Tent = camping cooker + Cobb, caravan = cadac, either = charcoal bbq.
