I don't mind seeing people flying their flag. Each one tells it's own story. The only thing that really gets up my nose is when I see the Union flag flying upside down. We must be the only country in the world where about 40% of the population have no idea which way up our flag should be hung. Being an old soldier we were always told that flying the flag upside down was an insult to Queen and country, so if you don't know which way it goes then please leave it at home lol.
