My hubby woudnt be without ours... Boys with their toys come to mind but it is a great piece of kit. No idea what ours is as came with van. He won't have a van without one now and........ I have to agree

Out VW Passat Estate had similar problems ... but wheel spin in wet grass environment.

Our driveway is very tight for the caravan, it would be impossible to put the caravan on it without the mover.

Another vote for powertouch here.

That doesnt sound right.
Unless there was something 'dragging' in the brake department on the van, i'd be looking for another tow car altogether. Its doesnt sound to be on top of the job, no matter what any theoretical ratio stats may tell you.

My mate had to bite the bullet and swap his Golf Estate, because no matter what he tried - including raising the suspension, he couldnt get the hitch more than six inches off the floor. The car wasnt up to pulling a 4 berth van. Even though he was supposedly 'well in'.

We got a rhyno motor mover which we were very thankful for last week as we had to squeeze in between tent and trees
Before I get told there should be a mini in distance we were on a scout camp and I cheated by taking the van

We had heating clean toilets and hot showers so did have to share with the other 200 + kids and family's

We have been caravanning for about 30 years and am now in early 60s

Previously managed without a mover but often struggled

When we changed our van last year I finally relented and had a Power Touch fitted

What a difference it makes - Fantastic

Money well spent

They are also very useful for getting the caravan off a very wet pitch! 3 times last year we used the mover to get the caravan off pitches after heavy rain and when out tow vehicle would have just spun it's wheels trying.
A Volvo XC90 4wd couldn't get their caravan off one pitch next to us, but our motor mover got ours off albeit very slowly

Would not ever consider having a caravan without one.

Does any manufacturer offer a mover as a factory fit option?
There must be a good reason why this doesn't seem to happen - perhaps because they take a large bite out of the available user payload.
