Can you post up a few more details? At what stage were you advised it was not the caravan you ordered or were you not advised at all? Was a discount offered to encourage you to accept older caravan?
We were never told - we discovered it ourselves having found the gas, electric and final appliance check certificates all signed and dated 12/10/17.
We had agreed and signed for a brand new caravan and wouldn't have considered such an offer had it been made.
If the certificates were dated 12/10/2017 that means the caravan still needs to be built? Did you order a 2018 model?
Typo.. certificates dated 12/10/16 as per original post. Sausage fingers + small phone = typo
That's terrible, I wouldn't be happy either, bit like paying for a new car, but getting a second hand one! So pleased to hear you stood you're ground and got you're money back.
I personally wouldn't plough money into a brand new van, from stories I've heard, they aren't built the same as the older ones. However, I can see the appeal, of something new but I'd be too prescious over it.
Hope you find a new or new to you alternative soon, so you can enjoy the spring/summer :-)

Totally agree now. It seems most new caravans have problems.
The one we sold was a Swift and we had it for 17 years. It had no faults and still smelled new.
That's a shame, we bought our first caravan last summer, she's 2005 model so 12 years old and she's like new too. We got her from Prestons Caravans and can't fault them.
There are lots of lovely vans out there, I'm sure the right one will find you 😎
Go and have a look at Stewart Longtons in Chorley...we always found them to be very good and they're now an approved Adria dealership...I loved our adria.
Campbells have now taken over Reads in Blackburn, which is a great shame.

Yes they have . I have also suffered poor service from them over the last couple of months. Their parts department are absolutely shocking.
Would now not consider buying new from them when we do.
