We bought a 2011 Hymer Feeling two years ago and it has been wonderful no issues whatsoever. I think they made be constructed slightly differently to some UK vans so damp is very rarely an issue.

Kenmore Caravans of Mirfield Yorkshire are supplying my "new" van and I smiled to myself this afternoon when I called at Kenmore and saw two other Pastiche vans of about the same age being prepped at the same time.

I have been very impressed with this company, give them a try.

If their service with caravans is anything like as good as their spares and accessories online service, I couldn't agree more. I have dealt with them online many times over the years, and they are second to none. I just wish they were closer so I could deal with them in person. I have found them very helpful. If I need to order anything for my caravan, they are always my first port of call. I have no connection with them other than as a very satisfied customer.

Hi we’re looking at buying a tourer and start caravanning and need some advice. I’ve been told to buy a van from 2014 onwards as they changed the build quality from then ie better insulated, is this true? Plus which makes to go for is a bailey better than a lunar or is it personal choice, any help will be greatly appreciated thanks
there is plenty to consider weight size and sleeping capacity as a novice don't max your car out keep to 85% rule. It does not matter if you buy private or a dealer, if you buy private you will save a few quid and you may well inherit a fair amount of kit that if brought new would be expensive such as awning motor mover etc. if you use a dealer you get a warranty depending on age of van may be 12 months some warranties may not be much good though, however if you pay top money from a well known large dealer you will get a lightly used van with a decent warranty and possibly a starter kit to get you going. My best advice to you is whatever you buy and from whoever you buy from if you don't have knowledge or experience of caravans then pay a fee to a professional to inspect first even if you pay out for a few to be done it will be money well spent

Another vote for Kenmore. Bought a new Lunar from Campbells, but due to issues at first service, took it to Kenmore after that. Great company, accessories (Ebay shop) and Service dept are great. They put a new front panel on our Lunar Lexon and the workmanship was brilliant, as were all the services they did.

Take your time. Look at lots of vans. Find a layout that suits you, is within your budget and then check it thoroughly. The make and model really doesn't matter

I like Bailey, bought a 2nd hand Pegasus with the 3 bunk bed arrangement in separate room at rear which can be closed off, ideal for 2 young children and middle bunk for all their clothes and clutter (or when not using awning, the two dogs go on bottom level). Damp - I had none so was lucky as did not even know to check for this at the time, though I bought from a dealer. I since discovered someone must have knocked a hole in off side rear, the Bailey logo has been moved to cover the repair, but no leaks, and I use it 250 days a year at moment while house hunting. Used it 108 days a year before moved, for every school holiday over 4 years - France, Switzerland plus the inevitable aeons in Cornwall. Awning esential if you are a family, and re waterproof 2nd hand awnings using fabsil as ours was a sponge at first, but is now fully waterproof. Consider what you need internally, family requirements are very different from a couple's needs. You then find layout practicalities / preferences begin to limit you. I do not like the more modern large front windows up and over to ceiling, as there is more to go wrong re leaks on window seals.

Thanks for your advice we’ve gone and bought a Bailey Unicorn Valencia 2011 it’s immaculate inside and out with 3 warranty just a couple of things need ironing out like it hasn’t come with spare wheel or a great deal of paperwork, but we got such a good deal from reputable dealers that made it worth it as we had looked at quite a lot of vans and this one stood out
