Hi, we have been caravaners for 11 yrs now, and just mid 40 to early 50's with two children 1 grown up the other 12, so baby when we started. We have progressed through two large awnings, numerous small porch awnings until finally a full size blow up awning, and our set up time is still a good 1.5 to 2 hrs after arriving, our process is:-
Arrive at pitch
Unhitch
Move van with mover into position (cannot reverse do see the point with a mover)
Wind legs down, level van
release mover from wheels
take bikes out of van
take x4 chairs out of van
remove EHU cable and connect
aquaroll and waste hog from bath room
remove awning if in van otherwise back of car.
fill aqua roll and container for the loo wash system
position aqua roll and waster hog
purge water systems
lay awning carpet
insert awning skirt
insert and erect awning |(pump up)
peg out etc.
erect chairs place in awning
erect tv aerial if needed
tune in tv
tidy up
open beer bottle ,and sit down.
Typically clothing would have been put away in cupboards prior to leaving home / storage site.
typically all 1.5 to 2hrs to do all this, i have seen others whom come two chairs out no awning glass of wine, and get jealous, but this is us. I could never leave my awning looking un leveled or even having one which is too big or too small for the caravan..
Don't think we could get it much lower unless we did not take an awning.

When we are staying in one place for a week or more, we like to use the awning, but if only staying overnight or just a few days, we don't bother taking it. Without the awning it's probably about 30 mins from arriving to sitting down with a drink, but with the awning about the same as TrigGLX above. Wish we could do it in less, and we probably could have done 20 or 30 years ago.
We found our current full awning takes no longer to put up than our previous porch, Bertie. The longest of all was the air awning we bought new, used twice, then dumped in our garage. Far too darned heavy, yet the smallest we have had so far. The current one (as in my profile) is certainly the easiest of the 3, and the only one I can put up on my own apart from threading through the awning rail.
