Hi would like some advice please
We only purchased our Lunar Lexon on 1st of June 2019 never bought a new caravan before we bought from Campbells caravans who also had an offer of £500 cash back when purchasing a new caravan phoned lunar on numerous occasions as we did not receive this cash back but sadly now they have gone into administration and don’t know now where we stand regarding warranty and cash back
Any thoughts please
It was an incentive that influence your decision to buy and you pay Campbells for the caravan and not Lunar unless of course you had a separate agreement with Lunar for the £500.
Yes it was an offer Campbells were advertising at the time but the cash back was coming from Lunar. It was an added bonus as we had chose the caravan we wanted being the Lunar Lexon. But more worrying is how we stand on the warranty

If you check the actual warranty after the first year very little is covered and basically the only warranty left is for damp. Have a read in the owner's manual regarding the warranty. Most of the appliances have their own warranties. Other than that the supplier is liable under CRA 2015.
Damp may result due to an issue when the caravan was manufactured therefore the fault was there when the caravan was purchased and would be covered under CRA 2015. IMHO there is very little to worry about as responsibility ultimately lies with the dealer.
I was looking at a Lunar from Robinsons caravans in Chesterfield, they have put a notice on there website regarding the Lunar situation, look it up, don't know if all dealers will be the same.

I think it's not only the warranty that's the problem. Been to the dealer today and all Lunar specific parts are not available
The only Lunar specific parts would probably be the furniture as rest is probably common across most ranges.
Yes we have been taking our caravan into service centre at Campbells for some snagging jobs done and they say it’s the administrators who arnt releasing parts

That is not your problem as the dealer has a responsibility under current legislation to repair the caravan. If they cannot or do not want to do the repair you are entitled to reject the caravan.
A customer of mine is a caravan repairer he says he can get all panels windows doors etc made by a contact of his and the panels are stronger than the manufacturers as they are made from fibreglass. Although this don't help those with new caravans it is reassuring for those with ones out of warranty. Lunar made lovely caravans and I certainly wouldn't be put off buying one

Thanks will let you know how we get on my worry though is with Lunar being in administration
God help you regarding Campbells, after sales customer service has gone down hill big time even more since they shut their Blackburn branch unless you want a service, they're happy to do that, as it's quick easy money for them. We've been waiting for them to get a part for us since November when we bought our 2019 Clubman well before administrators went in and no progres has been made even though we've phoned and emailed. When we ring whoever is dealing with it has left and the new person who takes over has to start again because they can't find the paperwork. We will not buy any more caravans from Campbells.

News that a buyer has been found for Lunar has to be good for everyone involved but I'd hate to be in the warranty department for the next wee while. I'd hazard a guess that everyone is going to be frantically claiming before it all goes tits up again.
Fingers crossed for workforce and customers alike.
We were the same we was dealing with a gentleman who then left and a lady called Michelle took over and we had to start from fresh again but finally we took our new caravan in last Saturday for snagging jobs list to be done will you keep you updated as to what or all jobs are done no phone call as yet
If the new owner doesn't honour running warranties of caravans that were bought before I think it will affect future sales badly. After all, who would risk spending 25k on a new caravan off a firm that will not honour the existing customers warranties of the firm they have bought out, it could be bought out again and more warranties lost.
