I am so sorry you are going through this. I would have cried too, these are our little homes on wheels. What about hiring a motorhome or campervan? there seems to be more companies offering this option rather than caravan hire? Or does the site you are going to in france have eurocamp style tents or gites you could hire and availability? I know it wouldnt be the same but you woukd be at your site still in france. Good luck and i hope you do eventually have a nice holiday. Xxx

Thanks folks, after a manic couple of days (which included a weekend away to in-laws) we found our new van, she's a Sterling Eccles Sport 584, from Leisure Sales. We do handover on Sat but they're keeping it for us until Thurs when we go away. There was no way we were taking her to the flooded storage!

OH went to old van last night to take out last ish of what's salvageable and the owner has packed all the vans again so that we can't even access the van without moving several first...OH not happy!
