One thing that is problematical to all using hard standing for awnings is the removal of rock pegs on packing up. Sometimes they come out ok, but a simple peg puller, claw hammer etc involve bending down, muscle power and choice words to remove. Do that 20 odd times round a full size poled awning is a work out too far.

So many problems face campers in general and over the years hundreds of items come to market. They maybe great for some but most will throw it into a dark corner never to be used again.

Before the internet loads will get sold, but with so many sites leaving reciews a flawed product soon gets pushed aside for the next great gadget that you cannot do without.

Cutlery that bands together is certainly not new. We have countless items in the kitchen that come that way, ie. measuring spoons in a set, and yep its a pain removing the one you need all the time.

30+ years ago i had a knife/fork/spoon that clipped together taking minimal space and kept them all together.

Ideally your project is something you have experienced, try camping, even if its in the garden or even your bedroom and see how little you need and how one tool does a lot (a multi knife).

You seem to be designing a storage solution rather than a usage one.
Keeping the implements on ring , fine, Using them when all the other items are faffing around your hand, is a waste of time.

Think carefully about the primary purpose versus secondary purpose of your project.

Trying to balance on two stools only causes you to do the splits or something even more painful.
