Again with your specifics, I can't help.
Though having an Avtex TV with "HD ready" capability, I also feed it with a Comag SD decoder when I want to watch RTL on Astra 19.1, and it "works".
Though the Avtex has its own decoder, I don't want to screw up the Astra 28.2 East setting, we use that on, for these occasions we want to watch from Astra 19.1.
Assuming your TV is portable, have you any acquaintances, neighbours etc that already use a Sky HD box in their home, you can test it out on?
